GERMANY AND SYRIAN REFUGEES

Jesus said "Blessed are the persecuted for righteousness sake; for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven."

While I highly commend Chancellor Merkel and Germany for their humanitarianism, and am glad POTUS and other nations are calling on each other to follow suit and take at least 10,000 of those persecuted this next year, I've found many people keep questioning why we're doing so little and why Germany is doing so much? I do believe Germany's extreme altruism has a secondary economic motive. (As do most government decisions.) STILL, I COMMEND AND PRAISE GERMANY, and thank them for carrying out Jesus' message of caring for those in need.

So why do they accept 500-800,000 refugees ???

Take these three facts into consideration:

1. Germany's population, according to the Population Research Institute, (and yes it's a non-profit devoted to expose the myth of overpopulation, but that's what that is, a myth) is in dramatic decline, expected to fall 10 million people by 2050 without immigrants. That's substantial for a 35 year time period. If you're questioning my source, don't. PRI got the stats from Germany's own Federal Statistics Office, Destatis www.destatis.de

2. Someone has to pay the taxes to run the government, and work to sustain the country's economy, and care for the elderly as they age out of the workforce. Why not 500,000/year ready and eager immigrants? Even with that, the country will still be in decline, and is only a temporary solution.

3. This is what happens to urbanized and industrialized society when it doesn't support a culture of life. Should everyone have 10 children? No. But there has to been some openness and support for families to be willing to have more than 2 so nations can balance those that are only able to have one, those who aren't able to conceive, or those who choose not to.

If a high % choose to have or are only able to have 2 or less children, then our world population declines. Plain and simple.
